How to Ride the Mango
by Audrey Swartley

Mango is a Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horse (KMSH) mare. She is 13.2 hands. She is kind of small but she is so, so fast and very smooth. I enjoy riding Mango on the trails. When my Aunt Terry, her daughter Chelsea, and my sister Ali go on rides we play games like scavenger hunt, which is when you try to find an unusual thing on the ride. When the item is found, all the horses have to stop and the one who spotted it has to get off their horse and pick up the item if it is small enough to take back to the barn. If not, the other riders are witnesses that you found that item. It is really fun and Mango is good at it.

Mango is my favorite horse at the farm, but she recently sold. My Mom and Aunt tell me not to fall in love with sold horses, but with Mango I couldn't help it, I feel like she is my horse.

My cousin Chelsea has a pony named Spirit and whenever we go riding we have races to see who is faster,
but we always end up tying. Chelsea says I look good on Mango and I would love to show her if she were mine.

Mango is a great horse because she is good at letting me get on and off her and listens to all commands. I hope her new owners will love her as much as I do and I hope they are nice to her. Her new home will be in Lake Placid, NY.
